Rooted N Love is committed to bringing essential resources to underserved communities in Oakland, CA. By fostering compassion, equity, and support, and through strong partnerships with local schools, we work to uplift families and create lasting impact.
About the Founder
Tandia Jones is the founder of Rooted N Love and a committed community leader in Oakland, California. Since 2019, she has organized annual holiday food and clothing giveaways, and continues to support families through ongoing outreach efforts. Her work includes building trusted relationships within schools, managing resource drives, and creating family-centered events. As President of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at Garfield Elementary, she works closely with educators and parents to strengthen school-community ties. Tandia founded Rooted N Love to expand this work—ensuring that under-resourced communities have access to consistent, compassionate support, starting with our schools.
